Terms

The terms, without the padding.

What you agree to by using Locatr, what the subscription actually does, and what is not promised. Short, because there is not much to say.

Who this is

Locatr is the product described on this site — a Mac app for changing what location an iPhone reports. It is run by a single independent operator rather than a registered company, so “Locatr”, “we” and “us” here mean that operator acting under the product name. “You” means whoever holds the account.

Using the site or the app means accepting these terms. If you don’t accept them, don’t use it. Questions go to 13nik09@gmail.com.

What Locatr does

Locatr drives Apple’s own developer location-simulation service — the same mechanism Xcode’s “Simulate Location” uses — to change what location a connected iPhone reports. The simulated location lives only in the device’s developer service. It never modifies the device permanently, and it resets on Stop & Reset, on reboot, or when the connection drops.

Locatr is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Apple, and is not distributed through the Mac App Store.

Acceptable use

Locatr is meant for testing apps on devices you own or are explicitly authorised to test. That is the case Apple’s simulation service exists to serve, and it is the case this product is built and sold for.

Do not use it to misrepresent your location to third-party services in violation of their terms. Many services treat a falsified location as a breach of their own rules, and some actively try to detect it. Whether a particular use is permitted is between you and that service — checking is your job, not ours.

You also agree not to use Locatr to break the law, to defraud anyone, to interfere with another person’s device, or to get around security or access controls you have no right to bypass.

How you use Locatr is your responsibility, not ours.

Your account

You need an account to subscribe and to download the app. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give a real email address, because account and billing notices go there and some of them matter.

You must be 18 or older to hold an account.

An account and its subscription are for one person. Don’t share credentials, resell access, or redistribute the app.

You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable under the law that applies to you.

Trial, subscription and billing

Locatr Pro is sold as a subscription: $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year. Both start with a 7-day free trial.

A card is required to start the trial, but nothing is charged until the trial ends — the checkout page shows $0.00 due today. When the trial ends, the plan you chose begins and renews automatically each period until you cancel.

Payment is taken by a third-party payment processor on their own hosted pages; card details never reach Locatr’s servers. If a payment fails, Pro access pauses until the card is fixed, which you can do yourself from the billing portal.

Prices can change, but a change never alters what an existing subscriber pays — a new price applies to new subscriptions, and anyone already subscribed keeps billing at the price they signed up at until they change plan themselves.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, yourself, from the billing portal linked in your dashboard. No email and no support ticket.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Pro access continues until then, and the account reverts to free afterwards.

The same portal lets you switch between monthly and annual — a switch is prorated — update your card, and see your invoices.

Payments are non-refundable. The remaining time is served rather than refunded: you keep access for the whole period you paid for, and that is what the payment buys, so cancelling part-way through does not return any of it. If you don’t want to renew, cancel before the next billing date — once a renewal is charged, that period is not refunded, whether or not you use it.

If you think a charge is a genuine error — billed twice, or after a cancellation went through — write to 13nik09@gmail.com and it will be put right.

What is and isn’t promised

Locatr is provided as is. It depends on a developer service that Apple controls and can change or remove at any time, and on iOS versions that change several times a year. Nothing here promises that every feature keeps working on every future version of iOS or macOS, or that the service is uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent the law allows, Locatr is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses — including lost data, lost profits, or any consequence of a third-party service reacting to a simulated location. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by cancelling, and can ask for your account to be deleted by emailing 13nik09@gmail.com.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms — particularly the acceptable-use section — or that is being used unlawfully or to harm someone else. Where it is reasonable to do so first, you’ll be told why.

Jurisdiction and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute belongs in the courts located there. If these terms change, this page changes with them and the date at the top is updated; continuing to use Locatr after that means accepting the revised terms.
